LINDA MCDONALD:
A PERSONAL PROFILE

Born in Enid, Oklahoma, and subsequently abandoned by both parents at an early age, Linda grew up with relatives on a working ranch in North Platte, Nebraska, went on the rodeo circuit with various relatives in Oklahoma and Nebraska until her first marriage at age 18.

During that period, she also spent many hours in funeral homes owned by relatives in both states, playing the organ for ceremonies, subsequently witnessing countless living examples of survivors brought to emotional and financial trauma by last-minute “end of life” planning. Linda would move on to have six children, become a grandmother of twelve and ten great grandchildren and would be a cancer survivor.

Linda McDonald, a certified grief counselor, experienced tremendous losses herself within a very short period of time - three of her children, one granddaughter, and her husband of forty-three years.

Linda has been in the business of grief for over 50 years. She is the author of “I Cry at Night, A Mother’s Story”, “Farewell Planning with Love”, and “Soft Selling in the 21st Century”, and created the “Teddy’s Sleeping Angel” program.

In addition to being a three-time author, Linda has had her own radio and television shows in the Greater Los Angeles area and Sarasota, Florida.

Linda’s life experiences and professional background as a grief counselor drive her unwavering desire to help people find their way back from the shadows of grief.
