The best way to explain my practice is to describe myself. My name is Scott Williams, an Independently Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor with the state of Ohio. Also, I am recognized as a Certified Grief Counselor by successfully completing course work required by the American Academy of Grief Counseling. I am a seminary graduate and Retired Ordained United Methodist minister based on pastoring for more than 20 years. My extensive theological training and experience in ministry in combination with my experience as an individual and family therapist would benefit those who are interested in receiving counseling from a biblical perspective. I received an extensive background addressing a wide range of mental health concerns while working at a mental health facility for 8 ½ years. Since opening my own private practice in 2014 my case load has equally divided between people coming to me primarily for relational concerns and those who come for mental health concerns. Therefore, I have extensive experience working with individuals, couples & families.
