Title: What do you call yourself?

I am just about finished with the Spiritual Counseling certification and need to identify a “title” (per se) with the certification.

What title do other use to refer to themselves when listing this? For example, in Florida (where I live), I cannot call myself a “counselor” as I am not a clinical PhD board certified counselor. I’ve considered calling myself “RN, SCC” with an explanation of “Spiritual Counseling Certified” but it still leaves me wanting for an actual title to go along with the certification (ie: Spiritual Counseling Certified Advisor? Spiritual Counseling Certified Life Coach? Spiritual RN Counseling Advisor?) — the “Counselor” or “Advisor” piece has me stuck.

Any advice?

Thanks!

Your credentials would be SC-C or Spiritual Counseling - Certified. Some states have an issue with the term Counselor. You are free to advertise yourself however you see fit, as long as you use the credentials SC-C. Those cannot be altered.
