Hi all,
My name is Carla Long. I am an RN in Haskell Texas. I work at the Haskell Memorial Hospital as the Patient Relations Nurse, and I am pursuing my RN Certification in Crisis Intervention Counseling. Once I have earned this Certification I will also be the Crisis Intervention Counselor for staff and patients here at the hospital, under direction of a Physician.
God has helped me through multiple crisis situations in my life including: pancreatic cancer, a spouse with anxiety disorder, a son with ADHD, Bipolar, and alcohol addiction. A daughter with ADHD, Depression, and other mental health issues. And my youngest son is in a nursing home due to physical health issues, Schizophrenia and Bipolar.
How we deal with crisis and manage stress is crucial to our health and wellbeing. I want to help others deal with these things in a positive proactive way so they can avoid illness, and mental and emotional burn out.
