Professional Advisory Board Members
The American Institute of Health Care Professionals, Inc. is comprised of many affiliate divisions offering Certification and Fellowships in specific practice specialties. Each division has a select Advisory Board of professionals who have significant experiences, education, and skills in their particular specialty. Board members are selected after a review process and serve a minimum of five years.
Our elite advisory board members serve the Institute by contributing to the development of quality and comprehensive standards for application and the award of Certification and Fellowship statuses. They also serve to promote revisions of standards, contribute to certification examination construction, review and make recommendations for updates to certification examinations, and help guide the overall direction of ongoing transformation for the divisions to serve its certified members and fellows.

President & Executive Director
DOMINICK L. FLAREY, PH.D., MBA, RN-BC, ANP-BC, FACHE
is the President, Founder & Executive Director of the American Institute of Health Care Professionals, Inc., providing overall direction and leadership for all of the divisions/affiliates. He has held positions as a Nurse Executive, Chief Operating Officer, and Administrator in acute care, as well as a Health Care Consultant for several national consulting firms and as an Adult Nurse Practitioner. He is the past Editor-in-Chief of JONA’s Healthcare Law, Ethics & Regulation. He was a long-term member of the Advisor Board of the Journal of Nursing Administration and remains a manuscript reviewer for the journal. He holds certifications in the following areas: Nursing Administration Advanced, Adult Nurse Practitioner, Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing, Certified Specialist in Legal Nurse Consulting, Grief Counseling, Clinical Hypnotherapy, and as a Master EFT Practitioner. He is a Fellow in the American College of Health Care Executives. He has published over 60 articles in peer reviewed journals, and is author, co-author/editor of 7 text books in health care. He has and continues to instruct for several universities and colleges. He also lectures extensively throughout the country on a wide variety of health care related topics, including administration, patient care and alternative care. He has consulted and has served as an Testifying Expert on many malpractice cases around the country. Besides being the President of AIHCP, he is also faculty for many of the Nursing and Mental Health Courses offered here.
