COURSE INFORMATION
This online CE course provides on in-depth review and study of children with executive functioning difficulties. Students will learn the developmental foundation of executive functioning and the difficulties ADHD children and young adults experience when planning, organizing, controlling impulses, and initiating tasks. Progression in the course focuses on helping ADHD individuals apply strategies and ways to build skills needed for success. This course offers practical strategies and interventions for professionals working with ADHD children and young adults. An exploration of ways to help children control impulses, make transitions, handle frustrations, start homework and other tasks, handle working memory issues, plan and organize, and monitor their behavior will be discussed in this course.

Pre-requisite: This course is designed particularly for those who have already attained Certification in Attention-Deficit Consulting. It is highly recommended that you have successfully completed AD 500 “Foundations of Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Consulting” and AD 510 “Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder: Theory & Consulting I, AD 520 “Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Theory & Consulting II and AD 540 “Alternative Treatments in Attention Deficit Disorder/Hyperactivity Cases, before registering for this CE Course.

TIME FRAME: You are allotted two years from the date of enrollment, to complete this course. There are no set time-frames, other than the two year allotted time. If you do not complete the course within the two-year time-frame, you will be removed from the course and an “incomplete” will be recorded for you in our records. Also, if you would like to complete the course after this two-year expiration time, you would need to register and pay the course tuition fee again.
GRADING: You must achieve a passing score of at least 70% to complete this course and receive the 40 hours of awarded continuing education credit. There are no letter grades assigned. You will receive notice of your total % score. Those who score below the minimum of 70% will be contacted by AIHCP and will be permitted one more attempt to retake the online examination.
