The Behavioral Holistic Health Practitioner helps individuals find true and real behavioral and cognitive change through not just better diet and herbal supplements, but also through counseling proven methods to help facilitate change in behavior.   Behavioral Holistic Health Practitioners can help individuals better understand depression and anxiety and critical ways to better cope and regulate one’s emotions from a natural viewpoint. They can help teach clients to better facilitate change and better health through natural diet, supplements, exercise, meditation, education,  positive coping, counseling and coaching.  Completing our certification also puts you in our health care fellowship program, which awards you the certification in addition to fellowship status, showcasing your specialized training and commitment to the program.

 

Behavioral Holistic Health Practitioner Certification Courses Requirements & Prices

Before joining our behavioral holistic health certification program, interested professionals need to have at least one of the following prerequisites for enrollment:

  • A registered nurse currently licensed to practice nursing
  • A licensed social worker
  • A professional counselor
  • A licensed physician
  • A doctor of naturopathic medicine
  • A functional medicine practitioner or functional health care practitioner.
  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in health care, human services, or psychology with career experience in these areas.
  • Other college degrees and licensure may be applicable if they are in a related area. Such cases are evaluated on an individual basis.

A behavioral holistic health certification and fellowship from AIHCP lasts for four years, with an option to renew through our health care recertification courses. This can involve participation in our courses designed for continuing education for healthcare professionals. Once completed, the candidate can add the “BHHP-C” credentials to their name which stands for “Certified Behavioral Holistic Health Practitioner.

The program itself consists of five required CE courses, which will cost a total of $800 and include the courses below. After completing the courses there is a certification fee for behavioral holistic health certification of $220, plus shipping and handling, which includes the official certificate, ID card, and other related documents.

Behavioral Holistic Health Certification status from AIHCP expire after four years, and you can get recertified through AIHCP. You will need to obtain 50 or more continuing education hours and submit a minimum of 500 hours of practice with your current behavioral holistic health practitioner certification. You will also need to pay $220, plus shipping and handling, to submit your application for recertification.
