Crisis Intervention Training and the Mental Health Industry

Mental health care and human services professionals are often required to undergo crisis intervention training to deal with their many of their daily obstacles. These careers deal with individuals who suffer from mental instability. Working together in these situations, mental health and human service professionals with the assistance of law enforcement can curtail possible disaster or high danger situations, by listening and working with individuals in crisis or on the verge of a high stress situation. Some crisis may also take the form of natural disasters or large community effecting events. Many different types of situations may trigger a crisis related incident and with training, potentially dangerous situations can be avoided when community health and law enforcement work together to diffuse the incident and prevent it from happening.
